Premier UNLV, one of UNLV’s longest-standing traditions, officially welcomes new and returning students to campus at the beginning of every academic year. This cherished tradition includes a welcome barbecue, free commemorate t-shirts, spirit activities, special guest performances, and — the highlight of the evening — students gathering with lights to form the letters U-N-L-V while fireworks light up the scene.
Homecoming week is an exciting time on campus as we celebrate UNLV history with special student and alumni activities, concerts, performances, and lectures. The celebration culminates with the homecoming parade, pre-game tailgate, and the big gridiron matchup. Whether you’re a student or alumnus, Homecoming is a fun event you won’t want to miss.
Festival of Communities
More than 8,000 visitors come to Festival of Communities each year to celebrate the wide variety of cultures that make the UNLV community unique. Festivities include special cultural entertainment, performances, activities, art, fashion shows, and food and drinks from around the world.
